A forever life…

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life”.

A full life…

John 10:10b “…I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”

A dynamic life…

Jeremiah 33:33 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

A life of peace and hope…

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

As you can see in these verses God has some pretty incredible truths He wants us to understand about Him and what He wants our lives to be. He has designed us to have a full life, one with hope and most of all, He wants us to know His desire is for us to live in His presence eternally.

So, while God has this incredible plan for you and me in this life and the next one there's a problem.

A big problem...

A closed and denying heart…

Romans 1:21 “For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.”

A deceived and deficient mind…

1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us…”

A proud and contemptuous spirit…

Romans 2:4 “Or do you show contempt for the riches of his kindness, forbearance and patience, not realizing that the kindness of God is intended to lead you to repentance?”

A failed and broken relationship…

Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

Despite God's offer to us for a life with so much joy, purpose and happiness we see from the verses above there's a problem; namely, sin. The Bible insists that while there are sinners who do good and sinners who do bad...we're all still sinners!

Sin is anything in our lives that displeases, disrespects or disappoints God. It's easy then, to agree with Scripture that we are all guilty and therefore, need forgiveness.

Our choices, our wrong desires, in fact, our very natures, as long as we are not changed from within as God requires, keep us from freely entering into the kind of relationship God designed for us. God's perfect nature prevents Him from allowing us with our sin into His presence.

God tells us these truths not to discourage us but to both warn us and to encourage us with the truth.

So, despite our present condition as sinners and separated from God, He has provided a remedy...

God’s offer to pay for your sin…

Romans 3:24 “…being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

God’s offer to provide a substitute for your sin…

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

God’s offer to you of eternal life…

Romans 6:23 “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

God’s offer to cleanse you from sin…

1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

God’s offer to you of forgiveness…

Romans 10:9-10 “…that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

God’s offer to you of salvation…

Romans 10:13 “…For whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

God’s new creation…you!

2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Notice the Bible tells us God has already made it possible for us to enjoy His love and forgiveness through what Christ has done on the Cross!

However, nowhere does it say that we can be reconciled to God or even contribute to our salvation through good works, being rich (or poor), education, power & influence, serving others or anything else! These are all good things...just not good enough. These are our ways of measuring worthiness, not God's. God's only measure is based on the trust and confidence we put in the Provision of His Son, Jesus Christ, and His sacrifice for us.

And, while this relationship is freely provided to all who would believe we must accept it individually.

So, where does this leave you? How can you receive God's gift of eternal life starting today, right now!?

What God wants you to know

Now, God encourages you to accept what Christ has accomplished by looking to Christ’s act of love by dying on the cross as a substitute payment to God, His heavenly Father, for your sin. In other words, you and I sinned against God but He made it possible for us to be reconciled to Him. Pretty incredible!

As you read above, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” This one verse sums up God’s message:

1. (His Plan) God demonstrated His love for us
2. (Our Problem) We are all sinners
3. (His Provision) Christ died for us (on our behalf, in our place)

Amazing!

What He wants you to do

Have you reached the point in your life that you’re ready to give your sin; past, present and future to God and receive His forgiveness? Are you willing to turn from sin and depend on God for direction and strength to live a life pleasing to Him? Don’t worry, we’re available to help you be successful in your walk with God.

Forgiveness and the promise of Eternal Life are available to you by faith (trust) in what He has done for you through Christ’s death on the cross and resurrection from the grave.

Today, right now, God invites you to turn from your sin, ask forgiveness and, by faith in His Son Jesus Christ, receive His gift of eternal life. How?

A SIMPLE PRAYER

While the decision to become a Christian is, first and foremost, a decision of the heart one way to express your new faith is through a sincere but simple prayer (talking to God).

Remember, it’s not the words from your lips but the attitude of your heart that God cares most about.

So, if the simple prayer below expresses the desire of your heart then, with trust and confidence He hears you, you can pray:

“Father, I confess (agree with You) that I have sinned against You. I willingly turn from my sin and accept your forgiveness offered to me through faith and trust in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ who died for my sin so I could live eternally in your presence. Thank you. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.”
